Senior Researcher Embryo Program Delete Job description CRV is looking for a highly motivated employee to increase the efficiency and output of our internal embryo program. CRV is a global leader for in vitro produced (IVP) embryos with >10,000 embryos produced annually. More embryos, higher pregnancy rate and healthier calves are critical outcomes for driving genetic success leading to better genetics for our customers. CRV owns one of the largest, very modern IVP labs in Europe ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?vv=bqCHG_S4Pjc ), which is situated in the northern part of The Netherlands. You will initiate and lead internal and international research projects related to embryo production. You will be the link between basic scientific research and the practical implementation of the results in the lab and in the field. Practical knowledge and experience in the embryo production process are required. As a senior researcher embryo program , you will collaborate with internal staff and external researchers for continuous improvement of CRV's embryo program. You are expected to actively follow the scientific world in embryo technology and reproduction while seeking opportunities for process improvements, innovations, and implementations for CRV. You will be expected to lead internal research and will act as a project for R&D projects with CRV partners. You play an important role in disseminating research findings to the breeding teams of CRV globally. For this position you will focus on improving the output and efficiency of IVP embryo production, pregnancy rates, and live calf rates. Additionally, you will be responsible for reviewing and updating standard operating procedures (SOPs) with aim to improve overall process improvements. Job requirements Relevant working experience, preferably in the cattle industry and/or academic world for a minimum of 5 years MS and/or PhD in Reproductive Biology/Physiology, Embryology or relevant field Applied/technical experience with solid scientific background An excellent team player with analytical and critical thinking skills. Individual must be open minded and have strong communication skills to work among different teams Strong drive for implementation of research findings into practice A project leader who is good in planning and organizing.
