As the Manager Technology & Engineering, you will assume leadership and management responsibilities for the Technology & Engineering department at in Delfzijl. Your mandate includes developing and implementing technical strategies and programs, ensuring technical excellence aligned with corporate objectives.

You will lead a team of technical professionals, collaborating closely with internal stakeholders to optimize technological and engineering processes. Additionally, you will collaborate with various departments within , such as Research & Technology and Energy Transition & Sustainability, while also gathering input from partnerships with external entities including universities and suppliers.

Your Tasks and Responsibilities :

• Lead and inspire the team of technical professionals within the Technology & Engineering department.
• Develop and implement technical strategies and plans aligned with corporate objectives.
• Optimize technical processes and systems to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety.
• Manage major investment projects.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as Operations, R&D, and Quality, to understand and translate technical requirements into concrete actions.
• Identify and evaluate new technologies, methodologies, and best practices to strengthen the company's competitive position.
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations in the field of technology and engineering.
• Act as a focal point for technical issues and provide technical advice to the management team.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and knowledge sharing within the Technology & Engineering department.

• Technical Expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of technical concepts and processes, preferably in the chemical or technical industry.
• Project Management: The ability to plan, organize, and coordinate complex projects within set time and budget constraints.

• Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate with internal stakeholders at various levels.

• Stakeholder Management: The ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure collaboration and project success.

Scope of the Role:

The Manager of Technology & Engineering reports directly to the Site Manager and is a key member of the local Management Team.

The role encompasses broad responsibilities in technological development, project management, and ensuring technical excellence within in Delfzijl. As the Manager of Technology & Engineering, you play a pivotal role in driving technical innovation and delivering high-quality products and services to customers.
